Patricia attended the “Universidad de San Carlos” in Guatemala obtaining her degree in Business Administration. She began her hospitality career as an intern while attending school to obtain her finance degree. Quickly enamored with the hospitality industry, and curious to learn, Patricia transferred to a variety of hotel divisions to gain experience. Her operations experience touched the hotel rooms and food & beverage operations, including the front desk, reservations, housekeeping and banquets. Her passion was always to encourage and support individuals to be and perform their best; thus the Human Resources division was to become her home for the next twenty years.
Patricia’s professional career in human resources began at the infamous Biltmore Hotel in 1995. Working briefly as a Recruiting Consultant for The Wentworth Company, in 2006, Patricia joined the Westin Long Beach Hotel as their Director of Human Resources. In 2008 and as the Ritz Carlton in Pasadena transitioned to become the current Langham Huntington Hotel & Spa, Patricia accepted the position of Director, Human Resources and subsequently the Director of Quality position. In 2012, She relocated and worked at the current Four Season Resort, Rancho Encantado as their Director of Human Resources. In June, 2013, Patricia joined Executive HR Consulting Group as their Senior Human Resources Consultant.
During her long career, Patricia has had the opportunity to work on-hands with business acquisitions, transitions and divestitures and has strong labor and employee relations in both union and non-union environments. She is an innate trainer with exceptional leadership abilities.
Patricia is bilingual English-Spanish and has translated numerous documents, including employee handbooks and other legal documents; is a current member of SHRM (Society for Human Resources Management), the California Chamber of Commerce, the Burbank Chamber of Commerce and PIHRA (Professionals in Human Resources Association).
